Bloody hell! I am starting this post a minute before day 17, but shhh nobody has to know. (I had a busy af day!) This scene is quiet unnoticeable; however, it carries so much meaning for Emma and Hook. As I stated in my post from last night, season 4 is all about chipping away Emma’s walls.
Season 4 Episode 5: ‘Breaking Glass’
THIS! Emma trusts Hook enough to look at what’s left of her childhood. As we all are well aware, Emma isn’t a very open person when it comes to her past. With Hook, she lets him into her world. He asks him for the honors of peeking into her past, and she lets him. She knows he will love her no matter what he sees. I think that’s why i love them together so much: because they trust each other so thoroughly. Also look at his doofy, little smirk. Aw.
Emma sits down with Hook to watch a video of her childhood. “Reflective today, aren’t we?” Hook asks. Emma tells him there are some things that happened today that made her think about her past. They sit down together and he pulls her against him into the cutest snuggle ever. CUTE AF!
And they continue to be the cutest couple ever until they realize the Snow Queen is in the video. Yeah, I was pretty shocked too. Despite the drama that ensued, I will always appreciate this scene because we see the trust they share. We see that Emma is willing to let Hook in. Thank you for this scene.
Hope you all are staying warm because I am not! Seriously a temperature of 0 degrees should be illegal. You know what else should be illegal? How dang cute and caring Hook is towards Emma. I swear, this man is just yes. Also, this is where Emma admits how she really feels about Hook. And where the walls begin to crumble.
Season 4 Episode 3: ‘Rocky Road’
“I don’t need a drink. Or a man,” Emma defiantly tells Hook as she storms into the street. Hook, the ever caring boyfriend that he is, follows after her. And I don’t know why, but I love when he grabs her with his hook. Even thought they are different, Hook tells her, that “at some point you need to start trusting me,” wanting desperately to break down her walls.
“Because everyone I’ve ever been with is dead!” she exclaims before she tells him she can’t lose him too. And being the ever confident man he is, he calmly tells her that if he’s good at one thing: it’s surviving. Boy, how true is that statement. This scene is the start of Hook chipping away that wall she has built up. She admitted that she can’t fathom the thought of losing him too. OTP game strong.
And swoop. They start making out in the middle of the road. Kind of dangerous, but, after all, he is good at surviving. Sigh. Those two.
I just like the shot of this. Also, yes. His hand on her head. I am weak. So weak.
Well, today wasn’t the greatest day ever, people can be awful…but anything Captain Swan makes me feel better! This episode was so freaking stressful and full of ‘oh my goshes!’, but this moment happened and it made my heart swell. Also, I’m pretty sure the fire place and hot buttered rum is code for something. You know what I’m talking about.
Season 5 Episode 5: ‘Street Rats’
“They’re thousands of leagues under the sea,” Hook reassures Emma as he rubs her back. LOOK AT HIS HAND!
“Thank you” Emma tells Hook for helping her. And then she gives him such a loving kiss that it literally brought tears to my eyes when she did it. I can’t believe how deeply in love they are in. I love it so much.
Then Emma was being so flirty when she asked if Hook wanted pizza or Chinese. I really hope that they chose pizza because it’s so much better than Chinese food. Just saying. But honestly, look how flirty her face is.
“Your heart’s desire, Swan. That’s all I want for you,” says Hook. This, hands down, is the most sentimental, caring thing Hook has ever said to Emma. And that says a lot considering Hook has been nothing but supportive of Emma since they’ve been together. He cares so much for her. Is he even real!?
Gosh, it’s so adorable! Let me find a man who is as loving and caring as Hook.
I’m pretty sure I’m in the middle of a coldapocalypse. Anyway, today I am revisiting a small scene between Emma and Hook. Small, but adorable and kind of funny. The day that Hook was, presumably, introduced to Netflix.
Season 4 Episode 1: ‘A Tale of Two Sisters’
“Crisis adverted,” Hook says with an adorably, doofy smile plastered across his face. And this, my readers, is when Emma asks him if he wants to go home to see what’s on Netflix. To which Hook says, “I don’t know what that is, but sure!” Again, with a doofy smile. Honestly, this man is just a gem. He doesn’t even know what Netflix is; he just wants to spend time with Emma and I think that’s sweet.
Being the caring and “quite perceptive” man that he is, Hook tells Emma that she’s avoiding him. Which Emma admits that she is. I love how even so early on in their relationship, he’s able to read Emma like a book. So married.
I like how Emma’s response to that was to kiss him. Too many feels to handle to be honest. They’re just the best OTP ever, okay.
Ever the patient man! Unless, of course, a snow monster comes and rains on his parade. Hook was patient; I was patient; the whole fandom was patient. Now? Not so much! Always remember when Jennifer Morrison said this was her favorite scene of 4×01.
As the holiday season gets closer, the weather gets a lot colder. Burrr! Today’s scene is a Dark Captain Swan scene because reasons. The reasons being I really loved Emma and Hook as the dark ones. Whoops! Also this scene was super hot.
Season 5 Episode 2: ‘
Hook is not impressed. He’s there to see what’s behind that door, but Emma has plans to distract him. I mean just because she’s the Dark One doesn’t mean they still can’t be together. At least that’s what Emma seems to think.
So Hook goes to investigate while Emma is busying herself in the kitchen before she shows up with rum.”I also know the fastest way to a pirate is through his liver,” Emma says. “There’s an even faster way,” Hook says as he goes in to kiss her, hoping to rid her of the darkness.
I’m just going to post different angles of this kiss. I mean if you have problems with that, then get out. Jk. But honestly, LOOK! HOT!
This kiss was so hot. That’s all I have to say. Another nudge, nudge line.
The tension was so strong in this moment. Look at both of them, so lost in each other. Wow. Okay, but this was such a nudge, nudge to some coffee. Very subtle, Emma. Deciding not to give into temptation, Hook tells Emma this isn’t who he is and leaves her. Be strong, Hook! Sigh.
2 weeks until Christmas! Yay! I can’t believe I almost forgot about this scene. Which is so absurd considering it’s the sweetest and most meaningful scene ever. I swear, this is the scene where it was canon that Emma and Hook were totally endgame. Except I, however, believed they were endgame since they climbed that beanstalk.
Season 4 Episode 15: ‘Poor Unfortunate Souls’
Emma reassuring Hook that he’s no longer a villain is my favorite. She knows how much he’s changed. And he changed all for her.
Yep. With all the talks of happy endings, Hook realized that they never discussed the fact that he was once a villain and he may be close to losing his happy ending. The way he speaks is so sorrowful and full of pain. In this moment, he honestly believes he’s not worthy enough of a happy ending. Someone give this man a hug.
“If you’re afraid of losing your happy ending, that means you already found it. What is it?” Emma asks him. To which he replies that she’s his happy ending. Head canon of feels. The look they share is so passionate. There is so much love in those looks and in those words. Leave me to cry.
You can see all the love on her face. Moment of appreciation for Jennifer Morrison’s reactions!
This kiss has so much meaning to it. SO MUCH LOVE. And how Emma starts crying when they kiss-it shows how meaningful it is to have a man that cares so much for her. To have a man that tells her that she’s his happy ending. Emma never had much love in her life, and now she has it all. That’s why I will always love Hook; he always puts her before him and only wants her to feel love.
I would just like to say: I AM SO SORRY. This scene was really emotional, but this was such an intense Captain Swan scene. Yes, it was heartbreaking, but it also held so much meaning to it. I don’t think I’m prepared for this. Here is goes.
Season 5 Episode 20: ‘Swan Song’
You can tell from the way he lags behind that he wasn’t going with her. This scene is so rude.
Thus begins the tears. “Don’t take that armor off just because you’re going to lose me,” Hook tells Emma during this tearful good bye. His words prove that her walls were down because of him. He tore them down and Emma let herself love him without any barriers. Why is this so sad!? WHY IS THIS A THING!? Then she tells him that she doesn’t want to be his unfinished business. All she wants is for him to move on. STOP. Just stop.
I don’t know. I bet being hit by a semi hurts less than this. When they said their final ‘I love yous’, I swear I would never feel again. Don’t make us suffer ever again.
I would like to sue on the account of too many feels within one scene. Also, let’s take a moment to appreciate that this was improvised. I want to cry. He was holding onto her for as long as he could because he thought he would never see her again. He loves her so much. And then Emma kept reaching down as she ascended and oh my gosh. Their love is so strong.
Their hands! Their struggle to hold onto each other.
Happy Friday fellow CSers! I’m sure you all already saw the blog post from Canadagraphs about the spoiler scene about Hook asking David for permission to marry Emma in 6×12. If you haven’t, now you have. So after that, I’m feeling particularly Captain Swan af today. The scene I have picked out for today is a really sweet scene that is so underrated!
Season 4 Episode 20: “Mother”
Emma is still quite pissed off at her parents for keeping the secret of what they did to Malificent’s daughter way back when. So Hook tries to talk to Emma about this grudge she’s holding, but she whines “we’ve talked about this”. To which Hook replies, “I talked; you walked away”. And that just makes me giggle. He’s hoping that maybe the sea will calm her. Let’s just take a moment to squeal over how cute they’re sitting. Aw.
Despite Hook hoping the sea would calm her, she tells him rum would be better. They’re so alike in so many ways, including their drink choice.
Hook can tell that her ‘heart is uneasy’, and then he says those words aboves and I think my heart cries a little. This was such a sweet scene because you can see his hesitation as he says this. It’s as if he’s not 100 percent sure that Emma sees him in that way. How can she not?! It just shows how much Hook truly cares for her.
Cue the happy sobs because OMG does this hit me in the feels. I love that she relays this line back to Hook. And he ducks his head in that cute little way. In that moment, we see that Emma fully accepts Hook for who is and who he was. I find that a testimony to a meaningful relationship.
It’s Thursday, so I’m going to do a throwback scene between Emma and Hook. Before they were even Captain Swan. Yep, we are revisiting one of my favorite season 2 scenes between the two and probably a lot of the fandom’s favorite scene: the beanstalk!
Season 2 Episode 6: “Tallahassee”
I’m not the only one seeing these looks between the two, right? As they’re climbing the beanstalk, Hook starts to pry because I’m sure climbing a beanstalk isn’t all that fun. He asks Emma if she’s ever been in love which she promptly responds, “No I’ve never been in love”.That moment when Hook goes all doctor on Emma. Emma looks anything but pleased with him touching her, but we all know how she really feels.
There Hook goes: stating the obvious and building Emma up. Just like he always does. It was before they were even a thing and he was letting her know how strong she really is. Doesn’t that just give you so many feels?!
After getting to the top of the beanstalk, Emma cuts herself. Hook grabs her hand, telling her that giants smell blood. Emma’s all like “oh so now you’re a gentleman?”. Then Hook tells her that he’s always a gentleman. And he does this! Let’s not forget the fact that Colin improvised this. Also, check out Emma’s face. Mhhmmmmm, girl.
Why is this so attractive!?!?!
Because I started reading a fanfic last night where Emma got pregnant while in Camelot, I’ve decided to take the Camelot route tonight. Let’s be honest: Camelot had some pretty great Captain Swan scenes. Actually, season 5 overall did. The holy grail of Captain Swan.
Season 5 Episode 5: “The Broken Kingdom”
In an attempt to distract Emma from the darkness, Hook promises to get her heart racing. Which is totally code for “wink, wink. Nudge, nudge”. So they casually stole a horse and go on a horseback ride into a field full of pink flowers.
Then hit me in the feels. Hook picks a flower for Emma. Look how sweet. This is how you OTP!
And we can’t forget this iconic kiss. Emma’s all like “now that we’re alone”, and this is the scene where people are convinced they have coffee. I mean, did ya notice how Hook raises an eyebrow all knowingly? That was so….yas. It probably happened.
Honestly, this is such a beautiful scene for so many reasons. Not only is the scenery gorgeous, but this kiss just melts my heart. In this scene, Emma is trusting Hook fully and without walls. He manages to take her mind off the darkness. If only for a moment. Still it’s monumental!
